[Loah] "For me the writing of this song was a calm, sonic balm in the midst of BLM protests and the ensuing intense conversations around race. Hughes’ words are always powerful, incisive and yet hopeful and uplifting which gives them a timeless quality. Fusing these two stanzas felt very naturally like the A and B of a continuous story being visioned for the African diaspora, 100 years on from when he was writing."
